(Translation: Hungary)
Reverse description Within a central circle, a faithful reproduction of the reverse of the medieval gold florin of Charles I, depicting the standing figure of Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of Florence, in the manner of the original 14th-century prototype. Ornamental decorative motifs flank the central medallion on the left and right. The legend I. KÁROLY appears above the central device, with the regnal dates 1301–1342 and the initials SET inscribed below. The design evokes the Angevin dynastic coinage of medieval Hungary and is presented with enhanced relief characteristic of piedfort strikings.
