Reverse description The reverse is printed in green intaglio on a plain white ground, with the large numeral 10,000 repeated in each of the four corners within ornate scrollwork frames. A bold lathe-work guilloche panel dominates the centre, bearing the inscriptions THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS in large block lettering, the whole enclosed within an elaborate engraved border.
