The title 'NOVČANI BON / НОВЧАНИ БОН' appears at the top in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, while the denomination spelled out in full in three languages runs along the bottom. | Opmerkingen |
Dom Štampe in Zenica was a commercial printing house pressed into currency production during the Bosnian War — hardly ideal conditions for a central bank issue. The 12,175,000-note print run sounds substantial, but hyperinflation in the former Yugoslav states was moving so fast that denominations like this one were effectively obsolete within months of release, overtaken by reissues with extra zeros.
A watermark is the only security feature, which tells you something about what was available under wartime constraints in 1993.
