| Obverse description | The obverse features the national emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam prominently at center, depicting a cog wheel and rice stalks encircling a five-pointed star, with a ribbon inscribed with the country name at the base. The legend CỘNG HÒA XÃ HỘI CHỦ NGHĨA VIỆT NAM arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters. The denomination 10000 ĐỒNG is inscribed in large characters in the lower field, flanked on either side by a stylized dragon head in low relief. The design is executed in proof-like finish with a highly polished field contrasting against frosted relief elements. |

The dragons face one another with open mouths and raised claws, their tails curling toward the lower field. A small circular emblem appears between the dragon heads at the top of the field. The curved legend RỒNG VIỆT NAM arcs along the upper border, while YEAR OF THE DRAGON 2000 follows the lower periphery; the inscriptions 20 grams and 925 FINE SILVER appear in two lines at the center-base of the field. |
