| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national coat of arms of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is depicted centrally, featuring a gold star upon a red field within a circular emblem, flanked by rice sheaves and a cogwheel at the base. The circular legend 'CỘNG HÒA XÃ HỘI CHỦ NGHĨA VIỆT NAM' arcs around the upper periphery, with 'VIỆT NAM' also appearing in the field. The denomination '10000 ĐỒNG' is inscribed in two lines in the lower field beneath the arms. The design is struck in proof-like finish with a deeply mirrored field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Vietnam's wildlife conservation series, issued through the early 2000s, was produced largely for the collector export market rather than domestic circulation. The buffy-headed marmoset — Callithrix flaviceps — is native to the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil, not Vietnam, which places this coin squarely in the category of foreign-fauna issues minted by smaller central banks to generate hard currency through numismatic sales.
KM#76 was struck at low mintage and distributed primarily through European and American coin dealers.
