Bezirkshauptmannschaft notgeld at the extreme end of the hyperinflation spiral. By the time 10-million-mark denominations were being printed by district authorities in Saxony, the Reichsbank's supply of emergency currency simply could not keep pace with the velocity of collapse — local administrative bodies like this one were legally permitted to issue their own paper to keep wages and commerce moving at all.
Ratsdruckerei R. Dulce in Glauchau was a municipal printing operation, not a specialist security printer. That origin shows.
