正面描述	Brown-toned Notgeld printed in two colours, with the denomination numeral '10 000 000' in large leaf-shaped digits across the top, flanked by the word 'MARK' on either side. A finely executed central guilloche rosette with a stylised crown motif occupies the middle field, over which the value 'Zehn Millionen Mk' is overprinted in large dark blue Gothic script. The lower portion carries a payment obligation text in cursive script, the issuance date 'Essen, am 15. Aug. 1923', the title 'Der Oberbürgermeister', and a manuscript signature at lower right; a serial number appears at lower left.

背面描述	Printed in dark blue-grey on plain paper, the reverse repeats the denomination heading 'MARK 10 000 000 MARK' at the top with the same leaf-shaped numerals, below which 'NOTGELD DER STADT ESSEN' is inscribed in block capitals. The central vignette consists of an elaborate oval guilloche surround enclosing the heraldic arms of Essen — a spread eagle on a shield — set within a geometric interlaced framework of radiating lines and rosette elements. Denomination indicators '10 000 000 Mk' are repeated vertically along both side margins.
