| Obverse description | Brown on cream notgeld voucher (Gutschein) enclosed within an ornate guilloche border with rosette corner ornaments. The central text panel bears the denomination "Behn Millionen Mark" in bold Gothic blackletter type, above a large pale underprint numeral "10000000", with the issuing authority "Stadt- und Landkreis Aachen" at the top and a serial number prefixed "No" in the upper register. Below the denomination, three lines of small Gothic text state the legal validity clause, followed by the date "Aachen, den 20. Juli 1923" and two manuscript signatures beneath the titles "Der Oberbürgermeister" and "Der Vorsitzende des Kreisausschusses", each flanked by circular official seals bearing an eagle device; the printer's imprint "AUG. HEINRIGS, AACHEN." appears at the foot. A vertical side panel to the right carries the large numeral "1000000" in a decorative cartouche. |
