The Narodna Banka Srpske Republike Bosne i Hercegovine — the central bank of Republika Srpska — issued this note during the period of catastrophic hyperinflation that simultaneously ravaged the rump Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and its dependent monetary satellites. The Bosnian Serb dinar tracked the Yugoslav dinar's collapse almost in lockstep, and denominations escalated so rapidly through 1993 that this 10,000,000 note was functionally obsolete within weeks of printing. ZIN in Belgrade produced the entire Republika Srpska series, a logistical detail that reflects how thoroughly the Pale administration depended on Belgrade for material support during the war.
