| Obverse description | Dark blue letterpress on yellow paper, with a light guilloche underprint of scrollwork and interlocking ornamental patterns covering the entire field. The denomination 'Zehn Milliarden Mark' is set in large Gothic blackletter script at centre, above a block of legal text in smaller Roman type. A right-hand stub carries the denomination repeated vertically in Gothic script. At lower centre, a circular official seal of the Reichsbahndirektion Erfurt bearing an eagle is flanked by the issue date at left and the issuing authority's designation at right, with a manuscript signature below. |
