| Obverse description | Printed on pink paper with a dense guilloche underprint in violet-grey, the obverse carries the issuer's name 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' at the top centre, below which the denomination 'Zehn Milliarden Mark' is set in bold blackletter script. A faint vignette of a steam locomotive appears within the guilloche field to the right of centre, while a legal tender text block occupies the middle register, followed by the place and date of issue 'Berlin, den 18. Oktober 1923' at lower left. A circular Reichsverkehrsminister seal with an Imperial eagle is impressed at the bottom centre, accompanied by the minister's manuscript signature to the right and an alphanumeric serial number in green at lower left; the denomination is repeated vertically in large blackletter type along the left margin. |
