The issuing authority 'Stadtgemeinde Lörrach' is set in Gothic blackletter at the top centre, flanked on both sides by the denomination '10 Milliarden Mark' in smaller blackletter type. The word 'Gutschein über' appears in the centre above the large red letterpress denomination 'Zehn Milliarden' spanning the width of the note, below which the validity clause 'Gültig bis zum Aufruf' is printed.
