| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a detailed relief depiction of a Natterjack Toad (Bufo calamita) in profile, resting on a rocky surface. The Latin scientific name 'BUFO CALAMITA' arcs along the upper border, while the Ukrainian common name 'РОПУХА ОЧЕРЕТЯНА' curves along the lower border, both separated from the inner field by a beaded inner circle. The split date '20' and '20' appears at the left and right sides respectively, flanked by decorative dot ornaments within the border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The natterjack toad (*Bufo calamita*) occupies a narrow band of suitable habitat in western Ukraine, where its loud mating call — disproportionate for its size — earned it local folklore status. Ukraine's National Bank has issued a series of circulation brass coins celebrating domestically threatened fauna since the early 2000s, part of a broader program that treats minor-denomination specie as a vehicle for conservation awareness rather than daily commerce. Most pieces in the series enter collections directly, rarely reaching a cashier.
