正面描述 Central field features a detailed relief depiction of a long-eared hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus) shown in profile walking to the right across a rocky surface, its characteristic large ears and dense spines rendered with fine detail. The Latin scientific name HEMIECHINUS AURITUS curves along the upper border within a raised inner circle, flanked by decorative dots. The date is split across the lower field, with '20' to the left and '19' to the right of the animal. The Ukrainian name 'ЇЖАК ВУХАТИЙ' appears in Cyrillic script along the lower border within the inner circle.

背面描述 Central field displays a stylized outline map of Ukraine with internal regional borders incised in relief, surmounted at the top by the Ukrainian trident (tryzub) state emblem. An open book is depicted at the base of the map, symbolizing the Red Book of Ukraine. The curved Cyrillic legend ЧЕРВОНА КНИГА УКРАЇНИ (Red Book of Ukraine) arcs along the upper border within a raised inner circle, flanked by decorative dot ornaments. The denomination 1 ЗЛОТНИК appears in the lower exergue area, accompanied by decorative foliate ornaments to either side.

附加信息

The zlotnik is a pre-metric Ukrainian unit of weight equal to approximately 4.27 grams, historically used in the Russian Empire for precious metals — its appearance here as a denomination is a deliberate nod to that regional monetary heritage rather than a functional currency unit. Ukraine's National Bank has used the zlotnik series since 2017 to spotlight endangered and threatened native fauna, with the long-eared hedgehog (*Hemiechinus auritus*) occupying steppe and semi-arid zones in southern and eastern Ukraine increasingly fragmented by agriculture.
