| 背面描述 | The central field features a raised relief map of Ukraine showing its regional administrative boundaries, with the national trident emblem (tryzub) placed above the map near the upper rim. Below the map, an open book is depicted in relief, symbolising the Red Book of Ukraine (the national list of endangered species). The Cyrillic legend 'ЧЕРВОНА КНИГА УКРАЇНИ' (Red Book of Ukraine) curves along the upper arc, and the denomination '1 ЗЛОТНИК' is inscribed along the lower arc, flanked by decorative floral ornaments. |

The zlotnik was a pre-metric unit of weight used across the Russian Empire, equal to roughly 4.266 grams, and its revival as a denomination name on modern Ukrainian coinage is a deliberate nod to that shared — and politically complicated — monetary history. Ukraine began issuing brass zlotniks in 2021 as part of a nature-themed circulation series. The goblet-marked damselfly, Coenagrion lunulatum, is classified as vulnerable in Ukraine's Red Book of threatened species.
