| Beschrijving voorzijde | Standing figure of Saint John the Baptist in nimbus, robed in flowing garments and holding a long cross-staff in his left hand, facing right toward the Grand Master. To his right stands the kneeling figure of Grand Master Juan de Homedes in armour and Grand Magisterial robes, receiving a banner or standard from the saint. The composition closely follows the Venetian zecchino type, with the two figures flanking a central pole. The date 1539 appears in the lower exergue, and the legend is divided between the left and right fields. |
