| Obverse description | St. Mark standing at left, robed and nimbed, presents a standard bearing a pennant to the kneeling Doge at right; the word DVX appears vertically between the two figures. The Doge is shown in ceremonial ducal regalia, receiving the investiture staff in a gesture of devotion. The Latin legend naming the Doge frames the scene along the periphery. The composition follows the canonical Venetian ducato obverse type established in the thirteenth century. |

| Reverse description | A full-length frontal figure of Christ in Majesty, nimbed and draped in flowing robes, stands erect with right hand raised in benediction and left hand holding the Gospels. The figure is enclosed within a beaded mandorla-shaped ellipse populated with six-pointed stars arranged symmetrically in the surrounding field. The devotional Latin legend encircles the entire composition along the outer border, invoking Christ as ruler of the ducat. |
