Obverse description St. Mark, standing facing left, presents a gonfalon-tipped staff to the kneeling Doge Francesco Molin, who genuflects at right in ceremonial ducal robes; the word DVX appears vertically in the central field between the two figures. The legend FRANC·MOLINO S·M·VENET encircles the composition in Latin characters. The design follows the long-established Venetian zecchino iconographic tradition, rendered in high relief with fine Gothic detail characteristic of the Zecca mint.
