A radiant rising sun dominates the upper background, its rays extending across the field in a distinctive fan pattern. The six-character legend 金本位幣壹圓 (Gold Standard Currency / 1 Yuan) arcs along the upper periphery, establishing both the denomination and the monetary standard for which this pattern was prepared. The overall composition follows the established junk dollar format but reflects Sinnock's modified treatment of the design elements. |
