正面描述 Left-facing bust of Sun Yat-sen in high relief, rendered in a naturalistic portrait style with fine hair and collar detail visible. The portrait is centrally positioned within the field, occupying the majority of the obverse. A vertical Chinese legend runs along the right periphery reading '中華民國二十四年' (Year 24 of the Republic of China), with additional characters flanking the bust. The field is otherwise plain, with no additional ornamental devices.

附加信息

By 1935, the Nationalist government was moving aggressively to centralize monetary control, culminating in the November currency reform that abolished the silver standard and introduced fiat paper notes — rendering a circulating silver dollar effectively obsolete before this pattern was ever struck. This brass piece belongs to a cluster of 1935 pattern trials exploring alternative compositions and reduced dimensions, part of a broader exercise that never reached production.

The Kann 632z designation places it among the rarer compositional variants in that trial sequence. Brass patterns from this period were almost certainly internal mint experiments rather than formally submitted proposals.
