Obverse description Facing bust effigy of Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Republic of China, rendered in high relief with a mustache and wearing a mandarin-collar military tunic. Eight Chinese characters arranged in an arc around the upper periphery read 中華民國十五年 (Year 15 of the Republic of China, i.e. 1926).
