Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged to be read top to bottom and right to left, flanking a vertical column of Manchu script characters. The entire central device is encircled by an outer ring of additional Chinese ideograms forming the denominational and reign-period legend. The inscription references the Guangxu Emperor, the Szechuan provincial mint, and the coin's weight standard of 7 mace and 2 candareens. The design follows the conventional layout of late Qing dynasty provincial coinage, with clearly defined inner and outer legend registers separated by a plain border.
