| Obverse description | Central field features the four large Chinese characters 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) arranged in a square formation within a beaded inner circle. A small vertical Manchu script legend appears at the centre between the characters. The outer ring bears the Chinese inscription 湖南省造 (Hunan Province Made) at the top and 庫平七錢二分 (Kuping 7 Mace 2 Candareens) at the bottom, with floral ornaments flanking at the sides. The coin exhibits a fine proof-like surface with iridescent toning and a toothed border. |
