Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese characters reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) arranged vertically in two columns, rendered in bold relief. An inner dotted border ring separates the central legend from the outer marginal inscriptions. The upper outer legend reads 吉林省造 (Made in Kirin Province) with the cyclical date 戊申 (Wushen, 1908) to the right, while Manchu script appears to the left. The lower margin carries the weight denomination 庫平七錢二分 (Kuping 7 Mace 2 Candareens). The entire design is enclosed within a finely reeded rim.

Reverse description Central device depicts a sinuous five-clawed Imperial dragon facing front, rendered in high relief with finely detailed scales, flowing whiskers, and flaming tail coiling symmetrically to fill the field. The dragon's head faces the viewer directly, with antler-like horns and an open mouth. Two small floral rosettes flank the dragon at the mid-field on either side. The upper legend reads KIRIN · PROVINCE in raised Latin letters, and the lower legend reads · CAINDARINS · 2 with the numeral 2 repeated on each side, all contained within an inner dotted border and an outer reeded rim.
