| Obverse description | Central field bears four large Chinese characters reading 光緒元寶 (Guangxu Yuanbao) arranged vertically in two columns, rendered in bold relief. An inner dotted border ring separates the central legend from the outer marginal inscriptions. The upper outer legend reads 吉林省造 (Made in Kirin Province) with the cyclical date 戊申 (Wushen, 1908) to the right, while Manchu script appears to the left. The lower margin carries the weight denomination 庫平七錢二分 (Kuping 7 Mace 2 Candareens). The entire design is enclosed within a finely reeded rim. |
