| 备注 |
The Farmers Bank of North-West China was one of several regional banks established under Nationalist (Kuomintang) authority to support agricultural credit and rural finance in the interior provinces. By 1940, the Japanese advance had pushed the Nationalist government deep into the southwest and northwest, and regional banks like this one were operating under severe wartime pressure — supply chains for paper and ink were unreliable, and note production was increasingly improvised.
The S-prefix in the Pick reference places this firmly in the specialized Chinese regional issues catalog, a notoriously complicated area where attribution, printing authority, and actual circulation geography are frequently disputed among specialists.
