| Descrição do anverso | The obverse is printed predominantly in green and salmon tones, with an elaborate guilloche network filling the entire face. A large central cartouche contains the denomination characters 壹圓 (One Yuan) in pale relief against a finely engine-turned background, flanked by two oval guilloche rosettes. The four corners carry stylised floral medallions with the denomination repeated in Chinese script, and the place of issue 上海 (Shanghai) appears twice in the upper and lower fields. Two red chop seals are affixed in the lower portion, with the printer's imprint 美國鈔票公司 along the bottom margin. |

| Descrição do reverso | The reverse is engraved in brown intaglio on a pale ground. An oval portrait vignette at left presents Sun Yat-sen in three-quarter view, rendered in fine line engraving. To the right, a central ornamental cartouche encloses the English denomination ONE DOLLAR / NATIONAL CURRENCY, surmounted by decorative scrollwork. Two manuscript signatures appear below the cartouche, one designated Assistant Manager and the other General Manager, with SHANGHAI and the date 1928 in a panel beneath. The printer's imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY runs along the bottom margin. |
