| Obverse description | Central oval vignette contains an intaglio portrait of Dr. Sun Yat-sen facing forward, set against a fine guilloche underprint on a light ground. The issuer name 臺灣銀行 appears in Chinese characters at the upper centre, with the denomination 壹圓 rendered within an ornate foliate medallion in the lower half. Two red seal chops flank the central medallion, and the four corners carry the Chinese numeral 壹; the serial number and date inscription 中華民國四十三年 appear in red at top and bottom respectively. |
