The large Chinese character 壹圓 (One Yuan) appears to the right of the vignette, flanked by ornamental corner rosettes. Bank name 河北省銀行 runs across the top, with serial numbers at upper left and right, and redemption and date inscriptions in smaller characters along the lower margin. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Three large interlocking circular medallions in orange intaglio fill the centre of the reverse, each elaborately engraved with scrollwork and coin-like disc motifs, with the Chinese characters 圓 and 壹 placed to the left and right respectively. The bank title BANK OF HOPEI is printed in bold letterpress across the top, with YUAN and TIENTSIN centred below the medallions, and two manuscript signatures appear across the lower portion. The redemption legend and date 1934 are set in small text along the bottom edge. |
