| 正面描述 | Central vignette of a farmer guiding a wooden plough drawn by an ox across a cultivated field, with a pagoda and mountain range visible in the background, all rendered in intaglio in brown tones. Denomination numerals in Chinese characters appear in the upper corners and along the sides, with the bank name in Chinese running across the top. Ornate guilloche borders frame the composition, with the place name Tianjin inscribed vertically on both sides. |

| 备注 |
The Bank of China's 1934 series was printed by De La Rue in London at a time when the Chinese government still relied heavily on foreign security printers — domestic capacity existed, but the political prestige of a London-printed note carried real weight in commercial banking circles. The Bank of China, nominally a government institution, had been restructured under T.V. Soong in 1928 and was functioning increasingly as a state commercial bank rather than a central one.
P#71A is distinguished from the otherwise similar P#71 by its lack of an overprint or by regional issue markings — collectors should verify the specific distinguishing characteristic against Pick's catalog, as the 71/71A split is a detail worth confirming before attribution.
