| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue and orange tones within an ornate guilloche border with corner numerals reading '1'. At left, a vignette of the Manchukuo national flag — yellow field with a canton of horizontal red, blue, and red stripes — rises on a staff before an orange guilloche underprint. To the right, an intaglio vignette of a European-style government building occupies the upper right quadrant. The large denomination characters 壹圓 appear centrally in intaglio, with a red seal impression at lower left, and the issuer's name 滿洲中央銀行 inscribed in Chinese characters along the top margin. |
