Obverse description Intaglio portrait vignette of Confucius at right, rendered in fine line engraving, with a secondary vignette of a classical Chinese architectural structure at left, set within an oval guilloche frame. The bank title 中國聯合備準銀行 is printed in bold characters across the upper margin, flanked by red denomination numerals 〈1〉 at each upper corner. Two red seal impressions appear at the lower centre, with the date inscription along the bottom border.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown tones and dominated by an intricate guilloche pattern filling the entire field. A large central medallion bears the numeral 1 within a wavy lathe-work ground, flanked on each side by ornate rosette cartouches enclosing the Chinese characters 圓 at left and 壹 at right. The bank title 中國聯合備準銀行 runs across the top in reserve lettering, and the romanised denomination 1 YUAN appears in bold type along the lower margin, with a printer's imprint in small characters at the foot.
