| Obverse description | Central field features the large Chinese characters 壹圓 (One Yuan) arranged vertically, framed within a wreath of stylized leaves and floral rosettes. The legend 新疆省造幣廠鑄 (Made at the Sinkiang Provincial Foundry) is inscribed in Chinese characters around the upper periphery, with the date 一九四九年 (Year 1949) distributed along the lower periphery. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The wreath is rendered in a flat, engraved style characteristic of Republican-era Chinese provincial coinage. |
