Reverse description Central design features the Republic of China national emblem within a dotted inner circle: a shield flanked by a dragon and a phoenix, surmounted by a rising sun device, with decorative ribbons and a shou (longevity) motif below. Flanking the inner circle on either side are ornamental branches. The three-character Chinese legend 紀念幣 (Commemorative coin) arcs across the upper field above the inner circle. The Latin denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed in the lower exergue in bold capital letters, separated from the central device by the dotted border. The overall design is enclosed within a reeded rim.
