Opmerkingen

Pick 49 was issued to mark Kim Il Sung's 80th birthday on 15 April 1992 — a commemorative release rather than a standard circulation note, though the distinction in North Korean monetary practice is often blurry. The DPRK regularly used currency as a vehicle for political ceremony, and notes from this period were frequently distributed as gifts rather than spent.

The 1945 print date in the catalog data almost certainly refers to a source plate or reference record, not the actual manufacture of this note.
