Obverse description Facing crowned bull's head set within a trefoil (dreipass) frame, the three lobes of which are clearly delineated by raised cusped arches. The bull's head, the civic emblem of Wismar, is rendered in bold relief with prominent horns and a small crown above. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a circular legend in uncial Gothic lettering occupying the broad outer field between the inner and outer rims.
