Obverse description Crowned double-headed eagle displayed at center, rendered in a bold, archaic style characteristic of late 14th-century Hanseatic coinage, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A circular legend in uncial Gothic letters surrounds the inner circle, reading the city name of Lübeck. A six-pointed star appears in the outer field above the legend, serving as a dividing mark. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered production.

Obverse lettering LVBICENSIS
Reverse description A bold cross patée with broad, flared arms occupies the central field, its intersection adorned with a small eight-pointed star set within a raised annular ring. The cross extends nearly to the beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters. A circular legend in uncial Gothic letters runs between the inner beaded circle and the irregular coin edge, with a six-pointed star serving as a punctuation mark in the outer field. The overall design is crisp and well-struck for a hammered medieval issue.
