Reverse description Central field bears the denomination in two large Chinese characters (一 圜, 'One Whan') enclosed within an ornate wreath composed of Rose of Sharon (mugunghwa) branches to the left and plum blossom branches to the right, tied at the base. Surmounting the wreath at the top is the plum blossom imperial seal of Korea (오얏꽃), serving as the royal emblem of the Yi (Joseon) dynasty. The design is contained within a beaded inner border and a plain outer rim.
