| Popis rubu | A large heraldic shield bearing the quarterly arms of the Archbishopric of Trier and the Electorate of Cologne — the Trier cross and the Cologne multi-barred fesse — prominently displayed in the center of the field, surmounted by an electoral crown. The shield is set within a sexfoil (six-lobed) inner frame, a design element typical of the Rhenish Weisspfennig series of this period. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding uncial Latin peripheral legend, the whole struck on an irregular, broadly spread flan consistent with hammered technique. |
