Reverse description The reverse is identical in design to the obverse, featuring the arched legend 'K.V. de Waggelerre' along the upper portion of the field, the numeral '1' and the word 'WAGGEL' centrally positioned, and 'VOEREN' inscribed at the bottom. A continuous dotted inner border encircles the entire design, consistent with the obverse treatment, indicating this is a uniface-style token struck with the same die on both sides.

Additional information

De Waggelerre is a Flemish carnival association based in Voeren (Fourons), a small Belgian municipality whose linguistic status has been politically contested since the 1960s — the so-called "Voerenkwestie" that repeatedly destabilized federal coalitions. Local associations in such communities often issued their own token currency for use at events, entirely outside national monetary oversight. This piece is that kind of purely internal scrip.
