Additional information

Leonard V of Görz was the last of his line. When he died in 1500 without an heir, the County of Görz — including Lienz — passed by prior treaty to the Habsburgs under Maximilian I, ending centuries of Görz comital independence in a single inheritance. These small silver issues from his reign represent the final decades of an autonomous mint tradition that simply ceased to exist upon his death.
