Obverse description A prominent fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, set within a raised sexfoil (six-lobed) inner border. The design is rendered in bold relief typical of late medieval hammered coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the sexfoil, separating it from the surrounding circular legend. The Gothic majuscule inscription reads + GLORIA · In · EXCELS : DO, a truncated reference to the Gloria in Excelsis Deo, arranged around the periphery within an outer beaded border.

Reverse description A long cross pattée with splayed terminals extends to the inner beaded circle, dividing the reverse field into four equal quadrants in the classic medieval manner. The cross is rendered in plain relief with no additional symbols in the quarters. A beaded inner circle separates the cross from the surrounding peripheral legend. The Gothic majuscule inscription + mO-nET-A · AR-GEn, an abbreviated form of MONETA ARGENTEA (silver coin), is distributed around the outer field within a beaded border.
