Reverse description A classically draped allegorical female figure, personifying Peace, is seated facing left on a low plinth, her right hand extending a laurel wreath and her raised left hand holding a cornucopia overflowing with fruit and grapes. An olive branch lies in the left field. The engraver's name 'VOIGT' appears on the plinth to the right. The circumferential legend 'DURCH KAMPF UND SIEG ZUM FRIEDEN' arcs around the upper field, while a three-line inscription in the lower exergue reads 'FRIEDENSSCHLUSS ZU / FRANKFURT A.M. / 10 MAI 1871', commemorating the Peace of Frankfurt concluding the Franco-Prussian War. A beaded border frames the entire design.
