| Descrizione del dritto | Left-facing bare-headed portrait bust of Duke Alexander Carl of Anhalt-Bernburg occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine hair detail characteristic of mid-19th century German court portraiture. The circumferential legend reads ALEXANDER CARL HERZOG ZU ANHALT around the rim in raised Latin lettering. The Berlin Mint mark 'A' appears at the base of the truncation. The effigy is attributed to the Berlin Mint's workshop and reflects the classical Neoclassical style prevalent in German state coinage of the period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The central device features the crowned coat of arms of Anhalt-Bernburg, flanked on either side by a crowned bear rampant serving as heraldic supporters, all executed in fine relief. The denomination legend EIN VEREINSTHALER and the fineness statement XXX EIN PFUND FEIN arc around the periphery in raised Latin letters, conforming to the standard Vereinsthaler reverse type mandated by the Dresden Coinage Convention of 1838. The date 1859 appears in the lower exergual area beneath the shield. The overall design follows the standardized format adopted by the German states participating in the Vereinsthaler monetary union. |
