Obverse description Plain field bearing a single Brahmi-derived monogram or royal initial in the center, rendered in a cursory hammered style. The inscription, representing the syllable 'Va' — an abbreviated reference to the issuing ruler Vanamalavarman — is positioned centrally on an otherwise unadorned flan. The strike is irregular, with weak areas at the periphery typical of early medieval Assamese coinage. No decorative border or additional devices are present.
