Central device depicting a stylized conch shell (shankha) in high relief, rendered in a schematic, archaic manner within a plain inner circle. The broad outer border is ornamented with approximately 23 large raised pellets evenly distributed around the circumference, forming a distinctive beaded margin characteristic of Mon-related coinage of the period. The field is flat and unlettered. The overall design reflects the Buddhist and Hindu iconographic tradition of the Mon kingdoms of Lower Burma. |

Central field bearing a bold angular srivatsa symbol — a stylized hourglass or double-triangle motif rendered in geometric, rectilinear form with four raised pellets marking its cardinal points — executed in high relief. To the left of the srivatsa appears a swastika, an ancient auspicious symbol, rendered in an angular, abbreviated style with associated pellets. To the right stands a bhadrapitha (sacred throne or altar), depicted as a curved base surmounted by a raised platform. Two undulating lines flank the central group on either side, possibly representing flame or water motifs. The reverse is entirely anepigraphic, consistent with the devotional and symbolic character of Mon coinage of the late 8th to early 9th century. |
