Reverse description Central field depicts a stylized châtel tournois, the characteristic castle or turret motif derived from the French gros tournois, rendered in a schematic Gothic manner with three towers. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in Latin reads TVRONVS CIVIS, identifying the coin's association with the Tours type. The outer border is formed by a ring of Gothic trefoil arches alternating with fleur-de-lis ornaments, characteristic of the Tournois groschen tradition.
