Reverse description Central device depicts the châtel tournois — the stylized tower or castrum of Tours — rendered in the Gothic manner with three turrets, a stepped base, and pellets at the battlements, characteristic of the Gros Tournois type. The central device is surrounded by twelve fleurs-de-lis arranged in a segmented border formed by curved brackets or lobes, separated by a beaded inner ring. The outer legend is contained within a plain rim, and the entire design closely follows the French Gros Tournois prototype adapted for the Duchy of Jülich coinage.
