| Obverse description | The obverse displays a multi-line royal titulature in bold Nasta'liq calligraphic script filling the central field, reading 'al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar' — affirming the shah's dynastic lineage and royal authority. The inscription is rendered in high relief with characteristic fluid strokes of the Persian calligraphic tradition. The central legend is enclosed within a single raised circular border, which is in turn surrounded by a prominent outer ring of raised pellets (beaded border) encircling the entire obverse. The overall design is aniconic, relying entirely on the elegance of the calligraphy as the primary decorative element.
