| Obverse description | Facing bust of Nāṣer al-Dīn Shah Qājār, depicted in military uniform with epaulettes and decorations, wearing his characteristic tall Qajar crown (kolah) adorned with feathered plume. The Shah's distinctive mustache is rendered in fine detail. Arabic legends in Nasta'liq script curve around the portrait within the coin's field, recording the date of his accession (1264 AH) and the mint date (1313 AH). The milled border encircles the entire design. |
