Obverse description Facing bust of Nāṣer al-Dīn Shah Qājār, depicted in military uniform with epaulettes and decorations, wearing his characteristic tall Qajar crown (kolah) adorned with feathered plume. The Shah's distinctive mustache is rendered in fine detail. Arabic legends in Nasta'liq script curve around the portrait within the coin's field, recording the date of his accession (1264 AH) and the mint date (1313 AH). The milled border encircles the entire design.

Reverse description Central legend in elaborate Nasta'liq calligraphy within an oval cartouche, bearing the royal titulature of Nāṣer al-Dīn Shah. The cartouche is framed by a wreath of intertwined floral and foliate branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow and surmounted by a small decorative floral element. The date 1310 AH and the mint name Tehran (طهران) appear within the inscriptions. The reeded border surrounds the entire reverse design.
